A Prometheus.

He was a warrior for truth and who helped a lot of people make sense of the shared reality that we perceive. A truly humane being who loved the world with a passion that not many are capable of. As the days grow darker still your light will be missed. Thank you Mike and farewell. See you on the other side…

I had been following his work on and off for about 6 years now. A couple of months back, laboring over an unresolved question. I ran into this set of videos on Vice Magazine.

Apocalypse, Man: Michael C. Ruppert on World’s End
Apocalypse, Man: Michael C. Ruppert on World’s End on YouTube (Not for the faint of heart)

As we watch ourselves, our family, our friends and enemies, one and all loved ones; those in my own species and those in others, die. I cannot help but feel the love.

Yesterday I stumbled upon this song moments after I read about the passing of Mike.

Serendipidity? Synchronicity? Naah… more like quantum entanglement mechanics mi thinks…

And I hear that old familiar, you know, the one that resides in my head.

And I hear him say, “Yeah right!”

What Sarah Said by Death Cab for Cutie

And it came to me then
That every plan
Is a tiny prayer to father time

As I stared at my shoes
In the ICU
That reeked of piss and 409

And I rationed my breaths
As I said to myself
That I’d already taken too much today

As each descending peak
On the LCD
Took you a little farther away from me
Away from me

Amongst the vending machines
And year old magazines
In a place where we only say goodbye

It sung like a violent wind
That our memories depend
On a faulty camera in our minds

And I knew that you were truth
I would rather loose
Than to have never lain beside at all

And I looked around
At all the eyes on the ground
As the TV entertained itself

Cause there’s no comfort in the waiting room
Just nervous paces bracing for bad news
And then the nurse comes round
And everyone lifts their head
But I’m thinking of what Sarah said

That love is watching someone die

So who’s gonna watch you die
